Expansion of the Unified Sports Program In DP UFSD

The Frank & Michael Vertullo Foundation will be funding the expansion of the Unified Sports Program in the Deer Park School District. Dedicated to promoting social inclusion through shared sports training and competition experiences, Unified Sports joins people with and without intellectual disabilities on the same team.

The program started with basketball in 2022 and will expand into Bowling for the 2022-23 school Year.
Track will be added for the 2023-24 school year.

This will give the opportunity for children with intellectual disabilities and special needs to compete against other USP teams across Long Island.
